Newbie here. First post.

I have a Benelli MP-95 Atlanta that I use for target shooting. I'm never sure what works best in that piece (though I am sure that I've problems with the Remington loads). Any tips for it? .22's are generally low enough in price that I don't mind spending on the higher side of the spectrum for better performance.

I wonder if the fact that Remington's Golden Bullet 550 bulk packs are not packaged individually in 50 round boxes like CCI Blazers and some other bulk packs are has anything to do with their poor quality? Are they getting damaged in transit? I've noticed some very small dents and scratches, on their bullets and shell casings and the inside of the carton always seems to be dirty with what appears to be lead markings.

Several people on this forum have pulled the bullets and dumped the powder on rounds that misfired, even with two or more strikes. They reported finding no primer mixture in the case rim. I repeated the experiment and found the same thing.

How would bulk packaging make the priming compound disappear?

For general plinking, Winchester or Federal Bulk is what I go with. For more serious target shooting, CCI minimags is what my Savage likes. For squirrel hunting, CCI stingers.

of the Remington to stay away from, the top of my personal list is the golden bullets. That is some dirty shooting, chamber crudding, misfiring all around junk ammo. I bought a bulk pack of 550, I probably still have well over 400 left. I hate it.

Blazer! Blazer! Blazer!

I feel like a sales rep but it's really that good.

Me and 5 other people were at the range for 6 hours and shot well over 1500 rounds. NOT A SINGLE FAILURE.

We shot it through 4 different 10/22s, a high standard, a couple bolts, and two Ruger MKs.

I got 5000 rounds for 170 at my local gunshop. So, for me, it is the clear winner.
I'm going to see if I can get 10000 for $300 next time. ;)

I don't know. Like I said, I'm just asking, I don't claim to have the answer. Misfires with the Golden Bullet 550 bulk packs haven't been an issue with me, they just don't work well in semi autos, they jam a lot and I've had numerous under powered loads, one goes (((BANG))), the next round goes pop.
