25 acp

Even I want a .25 pistol. Don't know why, but I do. As a carry piece, I'd have no real use for it because I already have a P32 (which is almost never carried alone; it usually rides along with a PF9.) So, why do I want one?

That's easy. You're a collector, like a lot of people here. There's no law that says the only appeal a gun can have is for self defense. The mechanical aspects of firearms are of great interest to most shooters.

I know alot of motorcycle riders who also own mid '60's Vespas or Honda Dreams...they're COOL! Buy that .25 :)

Don't have the Glock anymore, but the little .25's are fun.

i own a model 1908 colt pocket .25,love the little gun but i agree there are better options for ccw.but like the OP said, its not for concealed carry.
and i agree with cokeman!pretty much every weapon i own has received a simelar resonce when i posted about them.

.25 are very interesting guns, I usually pocket carry one.
Fun to shoot too, I love showing people just how small the JHP's are which surprises them every time.
It's be expensive to shoot, but I've always wanted a Lercker pistol. .25 acp machine pistol, perfect for pocket carrying.

Anything less than a service caliber is a tragdy waiting to happen if you find yourself in really dire need. You want to stop the guy and not just make him mad. Please, bad guy, bleed out before you get to me. HMmmmm, not much of a chance with these toys.

Wow, things are not that dramatic at the local range here. I can see if the thread was titled "My .25ACP Is More Better Than Your .45ACP"... All guns have their place to people who enjoy owning and shooting them.

The .32acp and .25acp were both German service calibers during WWII...

I can talk to be online and listen to them talk out their arse..or I can go the range and talk to people who won't..never met a person outside the internet who mocked me for carrying a .25 automatic. It's small enough to fit in the pocket comfortably and put 8 rounds into something pretty fast.

What many people miss is the fact that any pistol caliber is a compromise, and won't guarantee a one shot stop. That's what a 12 ga. does.

Any caliber that can penetrate to the heart, can stop a threat immediately. It just depends whether or not the shooter has the skills to hit a pretty small target under stress.

Shooting skills are paramount.

Weird, this guy was talking about getting one for competition, sport, fun. Where do you see that he is looking for one for self defense? Read through a topic before posting next time.

Also, do you not own a single .22 because it's an accident waiting to happen?

Have we not talked about this? We have heard your argument 735,234,765,443,213 times and we still don't care. .25acp is the most awesome caliber ever designed and you are just jealous that you don't have a pistol that shoots it. :neener:

VERY nice Biogenic!!!
your pics are actualy my first look at a Bauer, and i like what i see!!!
honestly,im shocked and impressed at some of the simalaritys i see between it and my colt pocket .25!

cokeman, well said my friend!you only left out one thing.
for everyone that doesnt like .25's,fine!no problem,i have calibers i dont particularly care for.but i dont wait until i see someone posting about a weapon they are happy about getting and proud they own to start bashing said caliber!!!its happend to me many times here on THR and i have seen it happen to several others.
as far as the .25 being a inafective weapon,or useless as i have heared some say.i will ask the same question my CWP instructor asked when talking about .22 and .25's.
if you were a bad guy would you want to get shot with one?!?!?!?

They're about the highest quality .25 ever made,

They are nice guns but don't mistake the quality as being the equal of a PSA or true baby browning, look one over with a 10# loupe, side by side, and you will see that PSA and Browning made babies are much better. PSA makes a SS model now that they are very proud of, rightfully so.

To all the comments about stopping power, only 1 of the 50 or so guns I own is carried, the rest I shoot for fun, and these little guns can be a lot of fun. I reload, so the price of ammo isn't even a factor. My most accurate .25's are the Astra's, by far, FWIW.

Very well put indeed Cocked & Locked! It's yet another tool that's often overlooked and belied by many. I will concede to those that point to the exorbitant ammo costs (but in my case I already have plenty .25ACP on hand).

John Browning couldn't have been as far off as many in this thread would have us believe. Then again, it's just my opinion.;)

-Happy New Year
