.25 Rimfire and .32Long

It seems I have a ton of questions lately. According to my doctor, the disease will soon pass.

Does anyone have a place to get some .25Rimfire and .32Long ammunition? Got a couple old Stevens rifles that are just begging to be fed.

.25 rimfire is only available as a collector's item, but it's possible that the .32 Long Colt or .32 S&W Long handgun cartridges (one or the other, but not both) might work in the rifle. A chamber cast might be necessary to tell.

An afterthought: If you mean .32 Long Rimfire, it was available from Navy Arms Company.

My father-in-law gave me his Stevens Favorite in .25 Stevens rimfire. I found out that ammo hasn't been made since 1942. I looked high and low, could not find a source. I had four rounds in my collection. I just had to so I tried them all. Only one of them fired. I then figured that even if I could find any amount for any reasonable price, the misfire rate would be high.

My current idea is to machine an old 10/22 barrel to fit. If my measurements are correct, the firing pin should still set off the .22LR. If I had a lathe, it would already be done. It's a someday project.

I think there is a way to convert them to .25ACP; if I am not mistaken, do a search.

i believe that sog has some .32 rimfire

Could be done, sure enough. The big problem is converting the firing pin from rimfire to centerfire. On the Stevens Favorite like mine, that would mean welding and redrilling the firing pin hole; more work than I want to go to.

Had no idea ammo would be difficult to find for these rifles (mainly because I'm a dummy about these things.)

.25 Stevens Short ammo

Hello all,
First time on this forum, I am.
If anyone is interested, I have a box with forty nine (49) rounds of .25 Stevens
Short, 65 grain, rimfire ammo that I will part with for the best fair offer.
These were made in Canada and have the "D" stamp on them. The box states C-I-L Canuck. There is also a small sticker on the box that says "Distributed by SPEER INC.", so I imagine this box was new probably around 1970. The box itself is a little rough with a torn flap and a tear in one end of the box but the ammo all looks good.
