Every once in a while, usually around "awards show" time, celebrities, and some commoners, wear particular pins to indicate how they feel about an issue (ex. "cancer").
We all know about how our 2A rights have been "infringed" upon. We all know that will very likely continue ... a little at a time. We all talk about how we could avoid it, and, at what point, we might take up arms.
In the meantime, we continue to lose more ground.
Nearly every time any of us tries to talk to an anti about the issue, it goes in one ear, and out the other. Most likely because many view the NRA as evil and as us as unwitting pawns.
If there were one pin, preferrably not associated with the NRA ... gold or silver ... which were a silhouette of a handgun ... revo or semi or both ... I'd wear it every day.
Maybe if each of us wore the same pin every day, no matter the activity, anti's and indifferents alike might get the sense that this is more than just a series of tantrums thrown by camo-wearing gun-nuts. Just a subtle way to show we are very concerned about 2A ... every day. At work, at school, at weddings, at funerals, at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, at holiday or any other types of parties, playing softball or billiards, and at church ... wherever ... whenever.
The pin would have to be a silhouette of handguns. Rifles or shotguns only perpetuate the myth that we'd be just fine without handguns ... and, miss the point. It would also have to be a silhouette of handguns as opposed to any other logo (ex. "2A") as those who have no clue, need one ... this is straight to the point.
Who knows, you might make a new friend.
Anyhow, I was just getting really upset with the way of things these days and no hope of the future. And, this kind of "came to me" and I thought I'd put it out there.
