On hand at the moment I have cfe blk, alliant steel, long shot and a very small amount of bluedot.

Judging by your seelection of powders, the force is telling me you have some experience loading 12 ga. Many have said 700x already, and I will echo trying to scare up a few pounds somewhere. I find it super clean and great for stack height with 1 oz trap loads in STS/Gun Club hulls (claybuster TGT12 equivalent). Can be a great multi-purpose powder for pistoles too. Sorry but I have no info on cast 30-30 rounds, but this is cool thread so far.

There is very little data for Steel . . . is so doggone precious and hard to find for steel shot reloading that I would suggest finding someone ro swap with. I know that I would gladly swap Red dot or Unique for Steel.

THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^ THE HOLY GRAIL OF SHOTGUN POWDERS!!

I just got done experimenting for the same thing. I found 6gr of Bullesye and 8gr of 2400 worked well. 5gr of Titegroup wasn't bad either.

All my data was derived from this website
http://www.gmdr.com/lever/lowveldata.htm

I also found that my Marlon 336 HATED any 308/309 sized Bullet. The only bullet i found that it would shoot well is the 165 gr .311 MBC bullet made for Marlin’s with micro groove.

I hope this info is able to get you were you want to go.

I load 12Ga Buckshot and 308, 30-30, 300 blk out and 300 win mag. I lost all my rifle powders when my house flooded and just got back around setting everything up. That’s why I’m short on supplies, we’ll that and BRANDON!

I really like that site. It explains low velocity reloading very well.

Alright folks, I started some testing today. I found some powders in stock locally. The powder was listed at http://www.gmdr.com/lever/lowveldata.htm like others have posted. The powder is tite wad and the bullet I’m using is 165gr coated cast bullets .309 cal. I shot 2 at 6gr and 2 at 5.5gr. Shot 1- 6gr 1111 fps shot 2- 6gr 1110 fps shot-3 5.5gr 1065 fps shot 4 5.5gr 1059 fps. Once settling on 5.5G of tite wad I loaded 4 and shot them through my suppressor, they were extremely quiet and shot fine. Thanks everyone for the help and I will do some further testing and post back with results

Gosh man... I feel for you and your house flood. Here's hoping everything lost was replaceable.

I'm happy for you. Titewad does make an excellent cast powder in my experience. I didn't realize it took that little to run that speed. I never chronographed that one.
