150 grain Prvi Partisan JFP over 30 grains of Shooter's World Tactical Rifle. Right about 2150 out of a Winchester Model 94 20 inch. Good accuracy, slightly higher velocity than Remington Corelokt 150 factory ammo out of the same gun. Lot's of upward movement with that powder, probably could get it to near the spec 2400 fps, even with the 20inch barrel.

Just looking over it, Shooters World AR Plus seems a good powder to try for 30-30.

Hodgdon LeverEvolution, 150 gr Sierra, Speer or Hornady flat points, Federal 210 primers. I think I settles at 37.0 gr. Hodgdon shows a maximum charge of 38.5. I used to load W-748 or Accurate 2460, bit run LeverEvolution exclusively now for my son’s Winchester Model 94.

Winchester, before Hodgdons took over marketing of Winchester powders recommended using magnum primers with spherical powders (ball powders).
Hodgdons allows the use of standard primers in their data.
Considering the .30WCF is likely to be used in near if not actual Arctic conditions, magnum primers certainly seem reasonable.

My most recent load is 36.0gr of RL15 under a Nosler 150gr Ballistic SilverTip. (From Lee #2).
Gets 2,370fps from my Marlin/Glenfield Model 30 (20” 3/4 magazine).

Also, Sierra 125gr FNHP over 36.0gr RL15, or Speer 130gr FNSpt over 37.5gr of RL15.
(The 125 Sierra seats much deeper than the 130 and is compressed at 36.0)
All above are VERY accurate.

My older brother used a Hornady 150gr RN over 33.0gr of H4895 (2,250fps) to take a 230lb 10pt in Dec 2007. Largest deer anyone in family has ever killed. Lung shot it on the run! I’d positioned him to wait for a shot and I did a foot drive to run any deer out of a pine thicket. Worked! Pass thru heart lung shot.
He hunted Florida to Alaska while in Airforce with a .30/30. Rough M94 Winchester I gave him a Williams SourDough to put on it. He passed in ‘12. I still have the rifle...

160 Grain Hornady FTX with the load published on the powder container - 35.5 grains LVR. About 2389 FPS. A real deer slayer out of the Marlin 336..
I use that with a 150 RN. It's just as accurate as IMR 3031 with a lot better velocity.

I'm trying to figure the best fit for loading mine. Having a few levers, less than 2000fps gives me less energy than 357 would. If I want to plink the a 38 in those would seem more logical. Dad had an entire box of cast and checked 150s for Silhouette, so I'll see how 4198 pushes those for a while. He also had a 45 colt that I need to play with. Going home to visit mom means rotating toys. This year was 357. Next year will be 30-30. A decent way to keep the game new and exciting.
