Hello,
As of late I have become more and more interested in the history and modifications that relate to the 98 springfield. I have a few that have the typical 50's treatment performed on them. I would like to hear about and or see other examples of the krag. Does anyone have any experience with the Ackley improved 30-40, .228 krag (Ackley), 6mm krag (Ackley), 25 krag (Ackley) or any other variant with the 30-40 case? I have a set of dies and 50 rds of brass that are of 30-40 orgin. The dies are stamped "30 WINTERS" I'll get a picture and some dimensions up soon. Perhaps someone will know something about them? Currently my search for information can best be described as :banghead:
