Having gotten back into shooting a couple years ago and hopefully getting back into hunting this fall I think it's time to join the NRA, any one up for sponsoring me on the lifetime membership?

I have about three or so years left on my five-year membership, but at $300 for life... too good to pass up!

I would also like to know how to obtain this, thank you much.

NRA billed my CC for $300 life membership in April.

    I've heard nothing since then.

POOR customer service and no excuse is acceptable.

The only thing I got was an email and somewhat later an envelope with an 8 x 10 certificate. Otherwise it is just membership as usual.

I am still more than willing to sponsor people but come on guys, at least have the courtesy to PM those of us who have offered this up. Info will be sent in reply. Life members don't get anything for sponsoring others so at least make it easy for us to help you out.

Got it and done this morning from work. Many thanks on this note. Pretty easy as they had all my data from my previous memberships. My renew days are over. :)

Indeed, the only time they offer a memento of some sort (plaque or the like) is during the Holidays when they will run a $500-$750 Life Membership Special.

I figure it this way. Been away from shooting a good number of years. All my active years I had NRA memberships. Much has changed over the years. WE had a HS rifle team and range in the basement. The last page of Boys Life and a dozen other magazines always had the newest Remington or Winchester .22 rifle on the last page and for that matter you could mail order a rifle. The NRA was like a club with a good monthly magazine.

Today is much different. Seems everywhere I look there are people who want to take away my guns and usurp me of my constitutional rights to enjoy my guns. Everything is about PACs (Political Action Committees) buying votes in the US Congress. There are no shortage of organizations out there that want to see my right to keep and bear arms eradicated. My PAC to oppose them is the NRA. The NRA represents me and my political beliefs, therefore I feel I should help support them. Previously I always supported the ILA and will continue to do so.

While NRA ball caps, shirts and other things are nice what I want is them backing me up on Capitol Hill, that is where I want the NRA. Personally I despise lobbyist but when the dark forces have lobbyist I want the NRA lobbying for my rights. Keep the goodies and represent me.

With a few years till retirement I plan on taking several NRA instructor courses next summer, I also plan on more range time. I figure I can teach and enjoy myself with plenty to do once I am free of the real job. :)

    That's The Plan

    Ron,

I could not have stated what you said better myself--Great to see cognizant individuals such as yourself actively involved in helping to see that the NRA effectively represent and defend our Constitutional Rights! I think we all can agree that it has become indispensable given the current political climate in this great Nation.

    -Cheers

If someone would be so kind to sponsor me, someone who is just getting started in the gun world for a NRA life membership, I would very much appericate it.

Is this a limited time thing, or is it anytime a Life member will sponsor you? I would really like to take part, but I cannot afford $300 right now.

I believe this will continue until election time at least. It was originally supposed to end in March.

I do not know for sure how long this membership drive will last.
