I've been looking at the "new" 350 legend. I really think it's good, BUT...
Why didn't they go up to .358 ?? There is such a vast selection of bullets from .356 to .358 that could have been used. It seems it's pretty much restricted to pistol bullets at .357. I've been a reloader for 35yrs and I get the fact that they're trying fill a little nitch and sell guns, but I really don't get this one.

The hole 350L has been weird from the start, when they released it during shotshow. First they said it was a 223 case, and a 357 bullet. That turned I to a proprietary case and a 9mm bullet. They got caught using low powder ammo when they compared it.

Looks like most chambers won't fit a 358 bullet, some guys can but there's not much room.I want to like the 350L but can't yet, I'll have to get one to try it out.

Thanks for the welcome!
I've been here a while but just reading and learning. Great place for both!
I think I'll wait a while to see if it comes out in different guns, 1,100 from Ruger is a bit much. But being a reloader I would like to see it's potential.

You can get a bca upper for under $250 if you have a lower to use.

I've been looking at this caliber. I've come very close to ordering a upper for this, but I've held off due to the lack of available projectiles as mentioned above. Ballistically I would compare this to a 30-30. Sort of a 30-30 for semi-auto actions.

Here we go again...the last thing I need is to add yet another caliber. no No NO...must resist
