Model 67. Easy-to-care-for stainless steel, plus all the other attributes of the Model 15. Here's mine dressed up in her Crimson Trace laser grips:

Just went to the desert over the weekend for some 4 wheelin and shooting. Shot a few cylinders full of 38 special from a Model 10 in 6" (my dads, he never mentioned he had one). It was a tapered barrel version, pinned in fact also, with the firing pin right on the hammer.

It sure is a light weapon, shoots very accurate. The only I didn't like was the wood handles were a bit too squared for my liking, but I think thats an easy fix I would assume with uncle mikes rubber etc.

Now I need to go find a model 15 to try out.

Thanks boys.

+1 Ruger Security Six, Speed Six, and Police Service Six.

Try a Ruger; their 38 Special only guns are just 357 Magnums chambered in 38 Special.

Here is my GF-84H "38 Special only"

The Model 15 was called the "Combat Masterpiece" with good reason. It was one of the finest all-round .38 Special revolvers ever made.

There are still a lot of real good used Model 10's & 65's floating around the gun shows & dealers at very attractive prices.

All Model 10's have fixed sights & blue or nickel finish.
Model 15 is a Model 10 with adjustable sights.
Model 65 is a stainless steel Model 10 with fixed sights
Model 67 is a stainless steel Model 15.

BTW: Shooting .38 Spl in a .357 ain't no big deal.
Use a cordless drill with a short section of cleaning rod, bronze .40 cal brush, and powder solvent to clean the chamber rings out.

Takes about 30 seconds to do all six holes.

Model 65 is a fixed sight stainless steel Model 13 357 Magnum, not a 38 Special.

The Model 64 is a stainless steel 38 Special Model 10 with fixed sights.

I recently bought a Rossi M851, 4" double action stainless in .38 special. $225, vent rib barrel, full underlug. Very nice shooting and looking gun.
