It is also known as the 9 X 17. The 9mm Luger is the 9 X 19. The 9mm Makarov is 9 X 18. Those are the most common 9mm rounds in the USA. Only the 380 ACP round will chamber in your gun.

Yeah, what do you have? Haven't seen a 380 ACP (aka 9mm Kurz) in a wheel gun on this side of the Pond. Not exactly common on the Continent either. Inquiring minds want to know. Dave

Jerry,
380 ACP, 9mm Kurtz, 9mm Corto, 9x17, 9mm Browning are all the same round. You cannot chamber and fire a 9mm luger in a gun chambered for 380 ACP.
dnove,
I don't believe he said he had a revolver he said handgun, and may not know there is a difference in nomenclature. pistol-vs-revolver

In WWII the English did have a Webly revolver in .380. But it was a rimmed cartridge. I think it was a 200gr LRN @ 500 to 600 fps. Quite similar to the .38S&W.

The British Enfield was chambered for and will shoot the 38S&W. The 200 gr load was their answer to a better man stopper. I shoot 'normal' 38 S&W out of mine with no problems. Dave
