Since a 380 is a 9mm "short", can you put a 9mm Nato suppressor on a 380? Basically, can my Tarus PT92 and my Bersa Thunder 380 share the same "suppressor can"?

I may be corrected by experts, but I don't know why not. In fact, you should get better results with the .380 which is already quieter.

excellent. thanks gents. So, when I look on Gemtec, I should look at their 9mm supressors? I just picked up a beretta bobcat for my sweetheart. I was thinking about suppressing it for her enjoyment after I get my "Type 2" licence.

Diameter is .357 on both rounds

Well, close anyway.

The actual diameter for 9mm (short or long) is .355 (two thousandths difference).

Ruger takes advantage of this for their Blackhawk .357 convertible. The primary cylinder is chambered for .38 and .357 (yes, .38 is really .357) and the alternate cylinder is chambered for 9mm Luger (or .355).

Since casing extraction is one-at-a-time with the extractor rod, the rimmed/rimless thing is not an issue.

Anyway, sorry, the original question was 9mm Luger and .380 -- which are both .355 -- the .380 is just a shorter case.

The suppressor can should work just fine with either, given that the barrels are both appropriately threaded and that they are both fixed barrels (or have the adaptor that allows barrel tilting).

Yep both .355". I would imagine most .380 ammo is subsonic also so it should work well. If you reload, make sure you don't have any .380 brass in with your 9mm :banghead:

The Burnside Ninja, are you already an FFL, or about to get one? I ask because you said you're getting your "Type 2" license. I wonder if you mean that you're an FFL and intend to become an SOT, in order to deal in Title II weapons, or, are you confusing an NFA Tax Stamp with a license? (It's a very common misconception.)

If you are confused, and would like some clarification, PM me and I'll explain it to you.
