Sadly, S&W will never bring back the 3rd gen Smiths chambered in .30 Super Carry :(

Someone's got one of Abe Lincoln's .30SC chambered 6906s, with a Rare Hijinks letter of authenticity, on GB.

The only 'value' thing about it (i.e., sub-par feature) is the crappy peeling paint job. It's about the same quality as what you'd see on Euro-Commie guns, like a CZ 82. Otherwise, it's tight and clean inside. The owner didn't shoot it much, and it does shoot surprisingly well ... for a 40. :barf:

Seriously, tho...if it's "peeling", that's not the finish S&W put on it.

Yes, it definitely is the original cheapo factory finish. Maybe "prematurely wearing-off" with "distinct cheap marks" better describes it.

That said, the exterior wear wasn't a deal breaker.

Yeah, I guess you could say I like them, 3913, 6946, 5904, 5906, 457, 4513. All get regular exercise:)

Ed4032: I was being facetious or ironic, having owned three 3rd Gens. Still have the 908.
As another poster reminded me, without emojis people don't imagine that there can be irony (very subtle).

Some people missed the 3rd. Gen. color-coded chart (Remarks # 15, Page 1) which I added weeks ago.

The more popular the Glock, the less expensive are these S&Ws. This is the same reason why I Love the extreme popularity of a "certain semi-auto rifle" platform.
* I even had an Israeli Turn-in 6904 for a while, in excellent condition
