I don't believe the ammo is corrosive.
I do believe it is loaded to MAX. It should be safe in your 629. Shoot a round or 3 and inspect extraction, primers, cases for signs of pressure.
I have shot a lot of PPU without problems, but it is definitely not a plinking, mild load.
 
Thanks for all replies. I have shot 6 rds through raging bull. (couldn't risk it to go through a 629) and it is really a mean ammo. The strongest i've ever shot. Just as i predicted. I don't know the energy, but the velocity was between 1650 and 1687 fps out of 6.5" (5.5" actual barrel lenght). A recoil is not alot milder than buffalo bore 340grs, even though it's only a 180grs. And the fireball is similar to remington 180 grs. I think i'll put this ammo to a storage for rainy days and shoot other common loads instead. But i will open it and weigh the powder just like some of you suggested. You were very helpful, thanks guys.
