I posted on this a few years back and the majority advised IMR 3031. You can load it anywhere from mild to wild.

My personal load which is a little rough on the shoulder but its not like I am going to should more than a couple at any given time.

Sierra 300gr HP/FN
55 gr IMR 3031
runs 1982 FPS

Upstech I will probably get 300 grain commercial lead bullets next just to try them for even lighter recoiling loads, but I've settled on a 400 grain mold for casting. I think the 300's would be more useful if I used this caliber for hunting since they would have a flatter trajectory. But for now it's strictly a plinking/fun gun.

So the results this afternoon were satisfactory. Informal shooting. Free hand with no bench, no chronograph. I like the feel of the trapdoor level loads more than the lever loads. The lower power loads were slightly less accurate, but I'm pretty positive I'll be focusing on developing loads in this range to hone in accuracy wise. I don't see a need for 1800+ fps loads for paper and steel. Not to mention wear on the firearm. Groups were less than 4" at an un-measured 60 or so yards, stepped off.

I'll hopefully get pics on the next outing. I was slightly rushed to get these in before the sun set. Thanks for the useful input, I wasn't sure about reloading for this caliber but it seems like I'm going to like it.
