I have a 22# Wolff Spring and a KKM barrel in my M-21.

With normal pressure .45 acp loads all was fine. Today I fired 60 rounds of 230 ball at about 800 fps with perfect function.

I then tried some loads with Blue Dot and W/W 230 H.P. bullets in Starline .45 Super brass. The charges was about 15% more than the load above.

Reliability was very poor. Several times the slide stayed open with rounds in the magazine, and several time the nose of the round in the magazine didn't come "up" enough to feed. Jams were around 50% of the time, and were worse with more than three rounds in the magazine.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Try the 24# spring and make a special effort not to hit the slide stop lever during the heavy recoil.
