There is part of me that cannot believe this thread is actually occuring.

And then the rest of me smiles at it :D .
Hmmm...haveta reevaluate the whole .38 snubby in the thunderwear concept....
Can I get an amen? :p

I believe He speaks to me personally, in special ways.

When I found a lot of once-fired .22 Hornet brass at the range, I knew He wanted me to have a .22 Hornet. When I found .45 Colt brass, I knew He wanted me to have a .45 Colt.

When I found a lot of 9mm brass, I knew the Devil is a deceiver.:p

Let us Not forget the Gospel of John (Moses Browning)

1 In the beginning was the 1911, and the 1911 was THE pistol, and it was good. And behold the Lord said, "Thou shalt not muck with my disciple John's design for it is good and it workith. For John made the 1911, and lo all of his weapons, from the designs which I, the Lord, gave him upon the mountain."

2 "And shouldst thou muck with it, and hang all manner of foul implements upon it, and profane its internal parts, thou shalt surely have malfunctions, and in the midst of battle thou shalt surely come to harm."

[...] Rest is at the link at top.

Geronimo45, if you need the Bible to tell you what caliber should be used (but note it was not said what the caliber should be used for, btw), then let me draw your attention to another good book, Bob Forker's "Ammo and Ballistics." There you can find some ballistic guidance.

I have a .45, several, and no divine inspiration is needed to know it is good.

God speaks to me from time to time and I beg of him daily.

However, we have not got around to discussing bullets, nor has he given me any winning lottery numbers.

When you talk to God, it's called prayer. You get to lead groups in small circles and such.

When God talks back to you, it's called psychosis. You get to sit in a small circle and talk about your problems.

Using a 308 shows you have a heart.

Psalms 30.8

I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy. For thou hast regarded my humility, thou hast saved my soul out of distresses.

I dunno!

Psalms 9:9 might seem to recommend the 9mm during times of crisis!
From the KJV: "9] The LORD (9mm) also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble."

The Wisdom Of 9

Tao Te Ching Chapter 9

Translation by Victor H. Mair of the Ma-wang-tui documents (approx.230 bc)

When the Way prevails under heaven,
swift horses are regulated to fertilizing fields.
When the Way does not prevail under heaven,
war-horses breed in the suburbs.

No guilt is greater than giving into desire,
No disaster is greater than discontent,
No crime more grievous than the desire for gain.

Therefore,
Contentment that derives from knowing
when to be content
is eternal contentment.

9 sounds pretty useful to me! I am content with 9.:)

Proof that .44mag can take down everything from gnats to blue whales:

Psalm 44 (verse 25, FWIW):We are brought down to the dust;
our bodies cling to the ground.

Proof that .25 ACP will only PO your assailant:

Psalm 25 (verse 19):See how my enemies have increased
and how fiercely they hate me!

And finally, proof that 10mm is so fearsomely powerful, God himself is shy of it:

Psalm 10, verse 1: Why, O LORD, do you stand far off?
Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?

 :D  :p

And after the humans argued
about this for eternity,
God said, 4+5 = 9.

And after that,
humans understood, as God did,
that shot placement is more important.

CCW, perhaps? First refrence of usage for a calibre that God recommends!

God said, 4+5 = 9.
:scrutiny: How is it that God missed the mathematical principle that the sum of the parts cannot be less than the whole? The sum (hole?) of those parts is DEFINITELY greater than the sum of the resulting whole :D .45=bigger, so how can that equal 9? :p

Now, what about 7.62x39 and 5.56? Or .380? or .45LC? .454? Surely God has said things about those calibres?

:D

That came as a surprise to me too, eightball!

Hey, uh, am I gonna need to go to church to make amends for my silliness?
:uhoh:

A church that has an address ending in... 45?????

;)
