5.56 ammo price check

That's the Radway Green mentioned elsewhere on this thread.

They work fine for me in a Saiga .223, but YMMV. They're Brit military-issue steel penetrator core, so you'd just want to make sure you have a thick backstop like a hill to shoot at, I'd think.

Wal*Mart

I can pick up .223 (Rem) at Wally World all day long for $5.43 a box (that's 27 cents); the Federal bluebox (HP) stuff is . . . about 26 cents.

I can (sometimes) pick up Federal red box (FMJ) at Sportsman's Warehouse for $5 a box (25 cents).

So far, I haven't found anything I can order by mail that will save me significant bucks after shipping (and sometimes "membership") is factored in.

If anyone knows who can get .223/5.56 shipped to Nevada and get it here FOB for under 23 cents a round, I'd be interested.

Right now, I can stock up incrementally for a few bucks a week. If I could land 1k for under $220 -- to my door -- I'd be a little ahead.

Couple of guys I work with scored gun show bags for about 18 cents a round. Trouble is, it wouldn't feed in their ARs. It MICed out all over the place.

Once summer comes, this is going to become more important.

Some kind of disease of attrition affects my ammo stocks during the summer.

How much is shipping for ammo at sportsmans guide? I am about to purchase that 720 rd ammo can for 169, and can't find a shipping price.

BTW, I am going to start reloading here soon, will this stuff be suitable for that?

I dont think Radway has a steel core, just a steel tip.

grizz:
As for computers which block gun topics, several hotels such as certain Hol. Inns (downtown Sioux Falls, SD) and even the downtown Little Rock Doubletree Hotel won't permit any gun websites:cuss:, but there can be a gun website which knows 'escape and evasion'. This is on the free computers provided in the Business Centers.

"JGsales" also should have a good price on Wolf .223. Cabelas stopped their sale on .223 last week, but good to see that it is back.
