Here's another: http://www.gunforall.com/shopcart/mcartfree/product.asp?intprodid=176601&thisitem=rug%20sr1911%20%20%2045%205in%20nov%20ss/wood%20%20%206700

Free shipping, no tax. If the FFL fee is $20, you get a new Ruger SR1911 at $8.38 over budget. I think the OP can find a 10-spot in his wallet or in his coin tray. C'mon.
Thank you for the link to the site, MR.357Sig. I did not hesitate as soon as I saw the SR 1911 in stock -I ordered it! $611.92 shipped plus whatever my FFL will charge me. I am psyched! My first .45 caliber handgun! Had my eye on it for a while now. So I might start a new thread - anyone have suggestions how to tell the wife?

NOT IN STOCK! CALL FOR AVAILABILITY. I am totally bummed out - when I ordered it I could have sworn the site said it was in stock. Got an email today from the seller saying they have me on their list. So for you folks out there who've been through this before I just have to say I'm still new at this game. :(

The Ruger SR1911 is so hot I have no idea when I'll be able to actually get one for a decent price. LGS has one for $759.00 and will not drop the price because he's convinced someone will eventually buy it at that price. :cuss:

I've searched for over an hour on the web looking with no luck. :banghead:

Well, being kind of old fashioned myself I can remember folks who were born before the Instant Gratification Age - they would say that good things come to those who wait.

Does anyone have the inside scoop when does Ruger plan on putting these out in the market in mass quantities?
