Try the RIA, its an affordable choice, leaves some dough left over for hoster, mags, ammo, etc. Also, Ive heard good things about them.
don't listen to him, he doesn't even own a 1911 so I don't think he should be giving advice about 1911's. He's only 16 or 17yrs.Try the RIA, its an affordable choice, leaves some dough left over for hoster, mags, ammo, etc. Also, Ive heard good things about them.
I think we should keep the personal attacks out of the forum and focus on what the OP originally asked.
For used, with a great deal of searching:
Springfield G.I. maybe a Mil-spec
STI Spartan
and all the others above without searching as hard
Call it what you like, I'm done with that nonsense. No jabs, only honesty. I at least have the charisma to apologize. Any who, who makes this American Classics or whatever? Is it a subsidiary, as I've honestly not heard of it. How is it any more fit than RIA?
I strongly recommend it. If you are a fan of RIA, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the American Classics.Hmmm...seemingly more and more of the "el cheapos" are coming outta the Phillipines, just like armscor/RIA. I'll have to look at these AC 1911 myself.
Seriously? After tax , fees, shipping, whatever, you are paying $600.00 for a brand new SR1911? Please tell me where. Lowest I've seen on the net is $659.00.$600 1911 = Ruger SR1911. That's what I'm picking up for my first 1911 in a few short months.
Why buy an American-designed classic made in Brazil or the Philippines when you can get one 100-percent US-made for the same price?
Ruger, Ruger, Ruger.
