Is $500 a good price for a like new 5" barrel 629?

A coworker offered to sell me his 5" bbl 629 for $500.

That seems like a pretty decent price to me...

I know this guy, he buys a new gun, shoots a box or two through it, gets tired of it and sells it maybe 2-3 months MAX after he bought it. All his stuff is in GREAT condition--new for all practical purposes.

I have the $$$--what say ye?

Once you see it and test it, if you like it, buy it.

I have trouble finding 95%+ Model 29's around here, they're either beat to heck or you don't see them.

I found a NIB 629 6 inch (pre-lock) for $569 that I am probably going to buy next week. I need to find out how old the gun is first.
