I was in Wal Mart today and came across some ammo for my sks. The shelf label indicated it was "Tula" ammo however the label on the box read like this.
Open-End Joined-Stock Company "The Ulyanovsk Cartridges Works". I'm sure Wal Mart didn't pull "Tula" out of thin air so it probably is correct. The stuff is 122 grn, fmj, steel cased, berdan primed and non corrosive. The best part was the price which was 4.97 a box. Have any of you used this stuff and do you know anything about it? I used to buy the Monarch at Academy at about 5.50 a box but they haven't had it for months now.
