went last night to the one in Orlando: 45acp was 28 bucks a box, 40 cal was 20, 9mm was 15, only Federal bulk .22 was 10 bucks, the others were over 10

I bought a 100 rd box of WWB 45 ACP 230 gr here in Dallas, Oregon for
$22.27 on 1/20/07. Yesterday I checked the price and it was $26.27.
Should have bought more I guess.

Looks like previous poster was right. Ammo prices will go up.
Dang !

Went to wal-mart about 30mins ago, north fla... Yay for having stock. Yep, prices up. no more 12.88/100 9mm wwb :( wwb 9mm 14.98/100, wwb .40 was 19.xx/100... fed .22's 9.88 and remington 10.xx, both/525.....wwb 38spl 130gr standard pressure was 23.xx/100 also. Picked up 200 9mm, 200 .40, 200 .38 and 1050 .22's total 149$ Not so bad considering the local gun shop is selling cci blazer brass .40 @ 16$/50...heh...magtech 9mm there is >10$/50...and those are the cheapest .40 and 9mm they carry. Cheapest .22 bricks they carry is the federal match 325 bricks that are 13$! lol

Prices are RISING

My Marlin 1894C likes the Remington 38 special 125gr JHP +P. Two weeks ago I bought 100/$22 at Wal-Mart. Last night, the price was $25/100. :what:

That puts me over the edge. I'm reloading from now on.

yeah they are going up. just paid $26 for a box of 100 Remington UMC 180 grain JHP. My local dealer who is usually more than that had Lawmaker .40 for $13.50 a box of 50. Wish I would have gone there first.

That's what it is in Tampa, too. The prices quoted in the CA Wally Worlds on the first page are what we had about a year ago. ***?

Like other posters have suggested, it appears that Wal-Mart is looking for an excuse to get out of the gun/ammo business. 100 rounds of 9mm in my area went from 11.98 to $15.98 in two weeks; 100 rounds of 38 special went from 19.98 to 25.78 in the same time period. 38 special and 357 Mag are now much cheaper from my local gun shop, for 50 rounds they are priced at $9.95 to $10.95 and $11.95 to 12.95 respectively.

One good thing about wally world prices. I asked my wife to pick up a 100 rnd box of .45, I knew the price but she needed to have the sticker shock,
she came back said they were out and at that price that yes I can finnaly get the Hornandy LNL AP. Yes I know there are people out there that have unlimited funds or can do what they want. I tend to ask it is alot easier.

I just bought a 100 round box of WWB 40 caliber at the Wal-mart in Monument, Colorado (just north of Colorado Springs).

Price: $19.98 plus tax.

I recently bought some ammo at wal-mart but the dang prices had just gone up.....again!

I asked the clerk why they keep jumping and he told me that it was because of the shipping costs on ammo changing due to ammo be newly classified as hazardous materials.

We had an interesting conversation.

A year ago at Wal-MartI could buy Remington STS Premier (or Sporting Clays / Nitros) 12-ga ammo for $4.47. Then it rose to $5.47. When I looked today it was $5.98. Winchester 12-ga AA trap loads were the same exact price.

Good thing I can assemble Fig-8 wads, Win 209 primers, 1-1/8-oz magnum shot, and Clays or Green Dot powder and have about $3.75 in each box!

Promo loads of crappy shotshells cost that much and cannot possibly compare. Heck, another few weeks and the cheap 100-count promos will probably run more than my "best component" reloads!
