Del-Ton 16" 7.62x39 A2 upper with a 3-9x40 scope on a BM lower. Load used was the Remington 7.62x39 [R762391] 125gr PSP. Distance was about 30 yards; temp around 55F; no wind. The coyote was shot on the left side and dropped in place. The setup works for me; I'm happy.

Thanks to Krochus and others whose posts on THR regarding their success helped me to decide to choose this combination for hunting with the 7.62x39 in an AR platform.

If you're going to use an AR for hunting, 7.62x39 makes a lot more sense. It brings the pain. Someone was asking earlier if a .223 AR would be good for deer. I recommended a 7.62x39 upper for the extra power.
