I recently acquired an SKS (obviously in 7.62x39), and will probably get an AK down the road to make more use out of my ammo supply :D . However, I have a tendancy to acquire at least one bolt-gun in every calibre I use, and have been wondering--does anyone make a bolt-action in 7.62x39mm? I know that Tristar has the M10 series rifles, but does anyone know of another company out there that makes a 7.62x39 bolt?

CZ makes a nice model 527. You could also get a Savage rifle and put a $75 Adams & Bennets 7.62x39 barrel on it, I read a post a while back from a guy who did that and got 1-1.5" groups with it.

Edit, Sorry to steal your thunder guys, I type real slowwww.

I have one of the old Interarms Mini-Mausers in 7.62x39 that shoots like a dandy. It's a tiny action scaled for that size cartridge. I put it in a fiberglass stock and the whole rifle only weighs about 5 lbs.

I like the looks of that CZ too, but I've never shot one. Can you get a fiberglass stock for them?

You can also find some Peruvian 1893 Mausers that have been rechambered for 7.62x39. They are antiques and were sporterized to sell on the open market sans papers. They are perectly legal and the barrels/stocks are new. The recievers can show some pitting that has been reblued, however. I imagine they are decent shooters (probably more accurate than your SKS) that were made up from rifles that were too poor to sell themselves.
