7.62x39 for $2.99 a box

Academy sports is selling Monarch brand (Barnaul) for $2.99 a box. I bought 2 cases yesterday at $74.75 per case + tax. I heard that when they ordered what was suppose to be 50,000 cases, they put one too many zeroes and ended up with 500,000 cases. I thought that this may be false so I called yesterday before I went to work and they said that they had it for $2.99 a box. I bought the 2 cases (1000 rds.) for $159.70. That was with Uncle Sams share. Wish I had more money to spend, I would like to buy a couple more cases. These cartridges are steel cased fmj. Thought that I would share this with you all. Go get it boys!!!! Buy it cheap and stack it deep.

the store on I-10 west and Voss had 15 cases when i went there yesterday, Friday. I bought two, and if I wasn't buying a used 4runner next week, i woulda bought them all...

I found wolf and wolf military classic for 2.77 at one dealer at the Houston gun show today...... most dealers were the same price as Academy.

Dang, it seems the OP was pointing out a deal and someone got all obama and emily post about it. Lighten up. If he missed other posts, big deal. If he posted in multiple places where's the harm. He is excited about what seems to be a fair deal... It would seem others are interested in the news.

I'm not a x39 shooter but this was the first I heard of it...
