arronkelly, thats the crap my mosins dont like. Hungarian heavy ball (steel core) What you describe is no different from my experience. Both of my mosins seem to only like the Hungarian silvertip light ball. I figured i was gonna quit using what i had left of it, but as cheap as that crap is...im not sure i can pass it up. That is of course unless i can find more of the silvertip.

I have the opposite problem, bolt sticking with laquered cases but just fine with copper washed. It only occurs on a single M-44 that I bought earlier this year, which is particularly tight. The bolt doesn't move forward whenthe trigger is pulled, and the end of the hammer doeasn't lift befroe firing either. It doesn't occur every time so I believe it is because of heat.
