7mm mag vs. 7mm 08

I have a T/C Encore in 7mm 08. I know that the bullet dia. for 7mm is 284, but is there a difference in the brass for the two rounds, and can I shoot a 7mm mag in the 7mm 08 barrel?

There's a huge difference between the two. You'd have to get another barrel chambered for the Big 7.

The mag is bigger around, longer, and is belted and head spaces on that belt, though I neck size mine only so that it'll head space on the shoulder and that saves brass fatigue.

The ONLY thing similar is the diameter of the bullet.
