= $95 = Viridian Serac 6-24x50 (30mm tube) - Natchez Tax Refund Sale

I used a set of doweled adapters that convert the normal rail to rimfire dove tails.

It works, could even clear the little plates at 100 with armscore ammo.

One can zoom in on the quality of the rings but they were $12 and work, so far.

I have paid more for a "shot", that didn't last as long, already...:)

Is the scope centered? I tried some of those and the scope was off-center by quite a bit. The 3/8 vs 3/8 rounded, vs 11mm standards are frustrating.

I should probably pick one of these up since there on sale cheaper, I don't really have a gun to put it on tho. I could give it a try on my 6.5 prc but it's just going to look huge on that rifle and id have to pickup some 30mm rings for the mark4 base i have. would be nice for ammo tests on 22s and such. My dad picked up a parker hale varmint 22-250 maybe he could use it on.

When i get the Seracs in ill run them thru the same "tests" i ran the Arkens thru.
Should be fun.
I just got one of my ebay snag if cheap favorites, a Simmons 6.5-20x50 WTC midway special, and i have some Sightron SI that ill do at the same time.

On a aside i got a discovery optics scope.....ill go look up what model.....HT 4-16x40.... and it was pretty awful.....
cant say avoid all of them but for sure avoid that one lol.

a Simmons 6.5-20x50 WTC midway special,
I still have mine, set up to swap around. Good scopes for the money.

Focuses down to 25 yards, so I could use it on my .22 LR AR up close.

Shot this 100 yard group in 300 BLK with it.

I just mounted the Viridian Serac scope to my CZ 457 Varmint and find that I really like the glass. It seems a lot better than my Vortex scope that cost around $ 250. I like the click adjustments and the locking rings ( although they feel cheap ) The rest of the scope feels good.
Nice. 👍

speaking of Vortex, I was working on a buddy's gun this morning and noticed black specs. I'm assuming its from when they were darkening the etched reticle....I've seen it in other scopes also. Lighting up the illumination will usually show you the extent of the fouling........I don't think that clouds from the paint tho....

My o-rings came in over the weekend and I'm back in business.

Got another one sighted in.
Nice.

Air rifle with negative slam should be a good test of Serac's construction and durability. I see parallax adjustment at 100 yards ... Are you shooting at that distance?

Were you able to test turret tracking with a box test?

I’m pretty sure that Benji is a PCP, so no recoil to speak of, and it’s not backwards like a spring gun.

I have a 52 up at my dad's I could test one if I get one, always wanted to try a scope on that gun to see how well it shots dose pretty good with the sight but I don't shoot it much no real save spot to fire.
those things are usually stupendously accurate......and absolutely brutal on optics.....
I had a 54 for a while that I really liked, but after killing its 3rd scope I sold it and moved into pcp.
