98% Glock 19 / 2% CZ 75

I'd go with the Glock 19. For one, if something breaks (rare, but it does happen), most parts are uber cheap and can be replaced by anyone with a punch and some mechanical aptitude.
Holsters are easy to find, holsters for CZ's usaully force the custom route.
Magazines are cheap, easy to find, and utterly reliable. For CZ's you often have to order them.
The G19 takes the 17 round mags, or the 31 round mags and either can be fit with a +2 extension. For CZ's I don't think this is the case.
No silly external safeties to worry about.
The G19 is lighter and will be easy to carry, yet it's not heavy enough to drag the belt down like a steel gun will.

Don't get me wrong, I like the CZ line of guns, I just think that for your needs, the G19 fits them better.

Depends on what CZ you're talking about. The stock mags in the CZ75 the OP asked about are 16 round, with Mec-Gars available at 17 and 19 (+2 extension).

It's very hard to compare the two guns, since they are different in just about every way imaginable. One is poly frame, striker fired, with a half-cock DA trigger, the other is steel frame, hammer fired, with a standard DA/SA trigger.

Most holsters for the Beretta 92/96 will work with the CZ full-size guns. I've never had a problem finding holsters for CZs -- but don't have any of the newer ones with rails. (I'm sure you'd be able to find a holster that works at any gunshop that has a good inventory, or at a gun show.)

The P-07 sounds good, but I have no experience with that model. I'd like to try one. The Glock 19 is a great concealed-carry weapon. I like both Glocks and CZs.

You can disassemble the Glock with a small punch without using a hammer. Try that with the CZ.

Actually, you almost completely detail strip a CZ 75b with a small punch (I improvise with a small Torx screwdriver) without a hammer. The only thing you need force to separate is the hammer and the hammer strut, but that's not a deal breaker.

The stock cz 75 can take the 16rd, 17rd, 18rd, 19rd, and 35rd mags stock with no modification. Some people trim the followers in the 19rd to have 20 or 21 rounds but the flush fitting mag is the 16.

The full size CZ-75B mags fit into the CZ-75 variant compacts, but stick out a little bit.

Both are good guns for sure.
I had a CZ 75B Single Action in.40S&W caliber and there were only two things that I didn't like about it:

1) The weight. There's just no getting around it, a fully loaded CZ 75B is heavy.

2) The trigger. The single-action trigger was really only "okay" and not that crisp, and it had alot of travel and the reset was quite a long ways forward.
The Glock has less travel and a very short reset.

I don't think the trigger on my CZ 75b is a great trigger by any means. On the other hand, it's not an impediment to shooting the pistol well. Lots of folks rave about the CZ trigger but it's just a trigger which won't pull your gun off target when you depress it. The trigger does not detract from the excellence of the pistol as a great shooter.

I shot a Glock 17 a month ago that had a super nice trigger job done on it, and it shot like a 1911. I was super impressed. Glock triggers all seem to be pretty much alike - which is a plus. Great consistency from pistol to pistol.

Then the 75b SA? the flat trigger has pre & post travel adjustments. or just the SA on the 75b DA/SA?

I can't speak to the cz althoug I want one, I stare at them every time I go to the gun store, but always walk out with another glock. I own the 26,27,19,23, and the 30. They all have close to or over 1000 rounds through them and have never had an issue with any of them, with the exception of faulty winchester white box ammo(damaged casing) They go bang every time I pull the trigger. They also eat anything I feed them. I carry the 27 and feel quite safe with it. Only time a Glock makes me nervous is reholstering with one in the pipe. I hate to be labled a Glock fan boy because I own other fire arms as well, but the relialbility of the glock makes me a fan. I've had bad luck with: ruger, taurus, charter arms and hk but never one problem with the ole square block glock.

If yours did not come that way, there is a factory-made trigger for the 75BSA that is adjustable for both over-travel and take-up. It DOES make a difference. Add the custom shop competition hammer, and you'll end up with a crisper trigger, too.

They all just do the same thing. They go bang. make holes in things and are fun to shoot. None of my guns have souls nor do I want them too. They are just toys for grown up boys.

I've had 9 CZ-75 Pattern guns over the last 8 or so years and have always been pleased (currently have 4). Conversely, I have 3 Glocks (G34, 19, 26). They all go bang and they all (seemingly) serve a purpose.

Of the 2 brands, I find the Glock to work just fine for CCW work (and the occasional match) while the CZ pattern guns have helped me win and place in several local matches and make me look like a passable shot :D. The full-size CZs are limited in their CCW capacity due to their sheer size, width, and weight but the triggers are (usually) great.

Rent and see what works for you.

Regards,
Lucky

I like 'em both. I'll be buying an SP-01 soon. I also hope to add a Glock 19 by spring. I like my G 23, 26 and my CZ 75 B, but am really looking forward to the lighter weight of the SP 01. The ONLY thing I don't like about the 75 B is the weight.

Go Glock. I like the consistent trigger, reset is great for follow up shots. It's light and reliable and best part is you can get very cheap magazines.

Mec-gar mags for cz pistols can be had for around $20 online. Mark
