9mm Carbines at 100 yds.

Just out of curiosity: How many 9mm carbine owners (Hi-Point, Beretta, Ruger, etc.) have tried their hand at shooting at 100 yds.?

What kind of groups did you get?

How accurate can one expect a 9mm carbine to be at these ranges?

Haven't tried it personally, but watched while the owner of Italy's WWII Subgun (Beretta? The one with a semi trigger and a full auto trigger...) shot at 225 yards. With the original iron sights--which were none too good--he was keeping them all within a foot or so. Mostly horizontal dispersion.

Sold my Hi Point in 2000 but I regularly took it out to 100 yards with iron sights. I was really surprised at its accuracy. Not real tight groups but was always on the target which I considered pretty good because at that distance I just about can make out the target w/o a scope.

When I had my Uzi Carbine it would average about 4" at 100yds if I held it steady enough from a rest. Not a bad performer considering the short sight radius.

I have an AR with an Oly 9mm upper. It is very accurate at 100 yds, much more so than I ever thought it would be. I can hit a 4"X4" steel plate using a red dot sight, with a 5 minute dot, easily with it using Wolf 9mm ammo.

I get about 4 to 6 inch groups at 100 with my Uzi carbine. Just depends on how I'm shooting that day. Not pinpoint accurate at that distance, but it's not a bolt action rifle either. If I do my part it'll still do minute of chest beyond that...but that wasn't really it's purpose.

I have once(ONCE!) took my DE Baby Eagle handgun to a range that I could shoot out to 150 yards. I got four out of ten on my first try, on a 16"x16" steel plate.

With a 16"barrel, the gun should do alot better, if you do your part.

my little bro's Kel-Tec Sub 2000 is minute of paper accurate at 100, i was pretty impressed

My earlier Kel-Tec Sub9 carbine does about 4-6" from a rest, and about 12" offhand.
