9mm +P+ Federal (9bple) is back in stock after being unavailable for.....well, quite a long time.
I personally don't mind the stuff as it is extremely reliable, packs an excellent punch and has sealed primers/ necks and nickel Plated cases. 2 features which can help mitigate corrosion or water infiltration from everyday carry/use. Is it absolutely necessary? ...well absolutely not, but it doesn't hurt anything.
They are loaded with Federals old school 115gr. HI-Shok jacketed hollow points. A bullet which has had 3 to 4 predecessors in a 30 year period, each having slight improvements over the last....
So why still the old HI-Shok?
But I don't care, I'm of the opinion this quick traveling, reliable expanding hollow point will do any job I'd ever need her to do. ...any Jacket separation...be damned.

I have to wonder if these are still being manufactured, or if they are "new old stock". Either way, I love this ammunition. I trust my life with it, and always would, as long as they still make it. It's current price is about 1/2 of the next cheapest ammunition I would consider Apples to Apples 9bple @ 36 cents/ round vs Remington 124+P Golden Sabers @ 68cents/ round.
I've got 1000 pcs on the way.
They shoot excellent out of all my carry guns, which are all rated for +P ammunition. I've seen no I'll effect to any of my firearms from occasional use with the +p+ 9BPLE.

Lots of people love that round. The online test I’ve seen clocked them at 1264fps iirc. Seems like a pretty safe round for most firearms when one considers Underwoods 115gr +p round is right at 1300fps and their +p+ round is way faster than that. I would consider the 9bple if I needed defense ammo.

I have a couple boxes of past production 9bple. It has a good reputation and it's probably worth it at half the price of more modern and proven rounds like the gold dot or hst. Today though I would only pay half for it if I could not get GD or HST.

I've used quite a bit of 9BPLE over the years, but have not seen a source for some time now. Within my humble experience, the 9BP, XM9001 and 9BPLE, with that old tech bullet shape, will feed reliably in just about any gun that will feed ball ammo. Something to be said for that old tech bullet. I'd like to find some more 9BPLE to buy.

A great round. One point though, if you carry under LEOSA HR218 it specifically forbids +P+. I have no clue why but it does. Have to hear that point every year at qualification. But if not
So restricted that is a great round!

What I miss is the 9bp. I no longer see that in their line up. It was good enough for Stephen Camp's Hi Powers, so it's good enough for mine! Was always in a box of 50 for a decent price. I still have some left and always hoping that they'll bring it back.

9mm Luger 35,000 psi (SAAMI spec.)
9mm Luger+P 38,500 psi (SAAMI spec.)
9mm Luger+P+ 42,000 psi (No standard - Suggested limit.)

There are many many NATO specifications for 9 x 19, For instance, there is even a U.S. Army spec for a 115gr M882 cartridge with a mid-case max pressure of 43,000 psi. Most 9mm NATO ammunition have pressures between 38,000 and 42,000 psi. Generally thought to fall between 9mm +P and 9mm +P+

There are rounds with better terminal performance than 9mm +P+ Federal (9bple). Federal HST and Winchester Ranger T Series just to name 2.

This is a terrific deal on some very good ammo. I just checked my history and the last time I bought that ammo was in 01/06/15 from SGAmmo and pd $.32 per round at that time. Still have 200 rounds from that case. There may be better loads out now, but you will pay over 36 cents per round. I would order some more, but I have gotten old and just don't shoot much anymore. I have shot that round in a Glock 19, Browning Hp and a CZ 75 and never has the slightest problem with it.

Waste of money.
Better stuff available and it's not that hot.
You can get standard P loaded at that speed but using a 124gr bullet and out of a 4 inch bbl.
You can hand load 115 to 1,350fps out of a 4 inch gun and be pretty safe.

Agreed, heck Double Tap's controlled expansion 115gr bullet is traveling around 1290, and that's not even their hottest load. Their +P 115gr is around 1400 fps.

But not for this price.......
The only JHP ammo period that's less $ than this deal currently is some S&B regular JHPs.... no thank you. In my opinion paying 1.00$ per round or more for the new hot stuff is the waste of money.....and some of it isn't even that good......Gold Dot G2 comes to mind.

One of my biggest complaints about expensive 20/25 round boxes is how does one practice enough with a round at $1.50 a shot. Revolver ammo is one thing fire a few to verify point of aim. But in a pistol the old standard of 200 rounds to verify reliability means a $300 expense. I still have multiple boxes of 124 Gold Dot+P LE and carry it in my mid to duty sized guns having the benefit of already knowing it works. For my compact 9’s they get the Remington UMC SV 115 SJHP. A round that does work in testing and can be bought in 50 round boxes for around .50 cents a shot. With prices right now “buy it cheap and stack it deep” has even more meaning then it did.

Precisely. I've just about gone through my first order of 1000 pcs. of 9BPLE purchased around 2013. It has worked flawlessly.

Please enlighten me on where in LEOSA is +P+ ammo forbidden. Not trying to sharpshoot you just want to find out if I missed something.
