Great!

Now do everyone who was denied the right to own a so-called Assault Weapon and High-Capacity Magazines!

Background:

They denied this man his permit because he had been involved in 2 domestic violence incidents and had an order of protection against him and despite the charges being dropped and the OFP's expiring they stated the serious nature of the domestic violence incidents "raise safety concerns for himself and others".

Wow!

Similar to the Bruen case. After filing NY changed the way they did thing but the case went forward anyway.

I believe there was another NY case that when they reversed their law SCOTUS ruled the case moot and dropped it from their docket.

I wonder if those folks who were denied could sue?

Given that DV may involve mutual combat or false allegations by the agressor against the victim, it is best the two separate but it is not necessarily good to use it as a permanent disability against either party.
