I took several handguns to the range this morning. While firing my XD40 I experienced a very light recoiling shot which failed to eject. The case was bulged but not split and some unburned powder spilled out. I checked the barrel to make sure that I didn't have a squib stuck in there and it was clear.
I put the mag back in, chambered the next round, and got the same result -- a light shot which failed to eject. I checked the barrel again to make sure it was clear and was starting to wonder if I had somehow gotten a bad batch of WWB .40.
Then I looked down at the mag and a big old fat lightbulb came on. I had loaded 9mm ammo into my XD40 mag.
