I was just informed by my county sherrif that my application for CCW has been processed and approved and my permit is ready to pick up!

It has been a long fight here in MO, and because of the poor quality of the legislation it is not over yet. But I have my MO permit and I am going to assume that my FL one will go through also.

Tomorrow will be a special day. :) I have been waiting to send this note to THR for quite a while.

Congratulations! :)

It is a great feeling to get that permit. - and in MO too!

Rickstir,

Congrats! Some of us in the show me state (about 1/2 the counties and over 1/2 the population) are still on hold waiting for anti gun poloticians and LEO's who refuse to accept applications. Congrats again but the battle is not over for all in Missouri.

Only 9 more months untill I'm 23. For now I am surviving on my PA permit. :D My local county isn't accepting apps right now anyway. Glad to hear you got yours though. Congrats.

CONGRATULATIONS.... hopefully in the next 2 months I will be posting the same thing! Ohio just passed there CCW law and I've taken my training, and am ready for my appointment 4/21 with the local Sheriff for the fingerprint, background check, and other application stuff. By law I'm supposed to be issued within 45 days of my completed accepted application.

- you just don't live in the right part of the PRK
- come on up north to Butte or Tehama Co. No hassle, RKBA sheriffs in both.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I jut got the same call today from my local Shefiff's Office.... It's been too long for Ohio too! Monday I'll be "legal"

Over? It ain't over. It's just beginning.

Over? It ain't over. It's just beginning.

A license to carry a concealed weapon is both a blessing and a curse. You feel more safe and secure but your exposure to civil and criminal liabilities increase. Screw up a little, pay a lot. Screw up a lot, KYA goodbye!:what:

Legally carry a concealed weapon and you've taken on a responsibility that puts you and your family's future and your fortune at risk.

That concealed weapon's a little heavier, eh?:scrutiny:

After you've carried long enough to get past the urge to "check" the gun, you'll notice a strange thing has happened:

You have totally different ideas of what is important vs. what isn't.
Example:
That jerk that just cut you off? Ain't worth the trouble. Where before you would have been inviting him to pull over and, um, "discuss" the issue.

You guys have fought a good fight, welcome to the club.
