I think the price point might hurt this. With that being said I’d like to get behind it via a rental first.
I have a question for all those saying it's ugly. What is a levergun, that is optimized for defensive use, chambered in a defensive cartridge, utilizing a "high capacity" detachable box magazine, supposed to look like??? The AR15 platform has evolved into a premiere fighting rifle. Why wouldn't a levergun optimized for a similar purpose utilize some of the same features? No, it doesn't look like a pre-war 1892 but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to. Why does a levergun 'have' to look like granddad's old Winchester 94? An AR15 doesn't look like a Winchester 1903 so.........
Barnum was right...
Anyhow - the only question is really - why?
Is there some hidden quality about it?
Ugh, for $2G? No way.
Besides, having Torx, Allen, and flat head fasteners staring at me from the same panel sends my OCD spinning into a rage-

WA state gov started discussing an "assault weapon" ban recently, and I'm sure it will pass. I ordered a 9 mm semiauto PCC within an hour of waking up to that headline! I've been kicking myself for not stocking up on standard mags and maybe an 80% when I had the chance, so don't want to make that mistake again. Gonna put it in a bullpup stock to make it maximally offensive to the law!I read about it last night in Firearms News magazine. Seems like a decent idea, especially those who are trapped in areas that make semi auto ownership difficult.
The reviewers seemed to like the idea and the way the gun performed. I bet if it were a 10mm, so it had a bit more oomph, it would make a handy camping gun for all around use.
If they released this in 10mm I would be very tempted to pair it with Hi-Points new JXP 10mm pistol.
Silliness aside if the trend is going to be expanding capacity on leverguns now beyond just a tubular magazine, can I get one with the rotating tubular magazines found on SRM shotguns instead?

How about a modern version of the 1886 Josselyn chain fed revolver?
For those jurisdictions where even semi auto belt feds are illegal, but you still want something with a belt.
It was 20 shot, but maybe include a 10 shot chain for certain states.
Sure, the crew fed version will also come with the 100 round loop chain that can be reloaded continuously while you shoot. Can I get it with belts that aren't looped so that my assistant gunner/loader can feed in new belts while I shoot?
I can't believe no one is beeyitchin' about the cross bolt safety on this 9mm lever gun.

The 1895 did not have a detachable magazine.
Don't know how heavy the barrel is if the rifle is under 6lbs.
It's not a quad rail either.
I have the Magpul SGA stock on an 870 and it's quite comfortable.

The front and rear sights are attached to the same piece of aluminum, pretty standard fare nowadays...so the front and rear sights remain on the same plane. If you're applying enough pressure to flex/bend a rigidly mounted aluminum handguard...you probably need to adjust and reevaluate your shooting technique.
Front sights mounted on a rigid, free-floating aluminum handguard has been the popular norm on AR's for @ 15 years or so. If it didn't work, we'd already be doing to next cool thing by now.

CraigC, I get along with damn near all your posts, but, that 9mm lever thing is plain ugly. Leave our normal lever rifle alone. Don't give the anti's ANY room to work with.
So you must not like the Henry Long Ranger that is magazine fed, because that "gives anti's room to work with."
The anti's will take whatever room they want, no matter what our modern day firearms look like, to say otherwise is naive.
