So I am a strong believer that when it comes to safeties on a carry gun they should be passive, as in a grip safety like that on the Springfield XD. Things that are deactivated just by drawing and firing the gun correctly. So this got me thinking, most modern guns have a system where they will not fire with the slide out of battery. What if a holster was designed to take the slide just slightly out of battery?
Would this cause reliability issues with it partially extracting a round every time you holster the gun?
I am pretty sure that if this was a viable idea it would exist but thought it was a cool idea to float.
