I know that this is off topic, but this is the forum that I frequent the most here, I would guess 75% of my posts are in the reloading forum. My wife and I got the confirmation monday that we are expecting our second child in mid-november! We decided to start trying about a month ago and here we go! Apparently all that bullseye competition really helped my aim!:D

I hope its a boy, but I am sure I can teach a girl to pull the handle on a press just like I did my son.

Oh my gosh! Congrats....

*and just to give you some hope- I'm a female who basically learned how to reload on my own. Single stage press...shoot vintage military rifles...married to the 30.06. But whatever the little one's passions may be, best wishes to your whole family.

Practice makes perfect. :)
Congrats friend.

Damn right you can.

Here's mine cranking the handle on some .40 cases. I've got another one somewhere of her running some of my cast bullets through the sizer die. She wants to cast some, but she's a little young to be around the lead pot just yet.

Happy news! Time to start the ammo/reloading gear fund to go with the college fund. :D

Arkansas Paul: Thanks for the photo of the cutie pie. Gives me hope for the future.

ljnowell - congrats! I pray your child is born healthy!

Arkansas Paul - nice lookin child - and she's involved in a GREAT hobby. ;)
I envy you.

Congrats!! He/She will be the light of your life! My daughter (oldest) will be 7 soon. She and her brother spend a lot of time watching daddy load ammo. They even help place the bullets on the cases. My son will be 5 this summer, and he's already asking when he can go hunting with me again. Teach them early to respect guns, and gun safty. My daughter can repeat the 4 rules of gun safety, and both handle there BB guns better than some adults.

ArkansasPaul, GaHunter, you guys really have reason to be proud!

My son is going to be 13 this june, he has been raised to love guns and freedom and respect them. He got his first shotgun at age 9, a pistol at 10, and a rifle at 11. I look forward to teaching my second child, boy or girl, all about it too.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! I spend a lot of time here on this reloading forum, I wanted to share it with you guys.

Girls are just as cool, hey you married one.

Just be a good man and teach them.

You know kids pick up on our habits, and hobbies. My son has a cap gun with holster. He runs around the house shooting from cover like I do in IDPA. It's a hoot watching him draw from his holster, and standing behind a wall like we do at matches.
