As some of you know, I'm the guy that makes the THR and Molon Labe shirts. I was speaking with the man that actually does the silk screening and embroidery for me this morning.

A local trap club has gotten him to make some t-shirts with padding quilted onto the shoulder of a regular t-shirt. So it is like the fancy shooting shirts, or trap vests, however it is just a simple t-shirt, and would probably cost less than $20 on a regular type t-shirt.

Is this something that there would be sufficient interest amongst our shotgunners here and in their local clubs?

I don't know, I'm a 3gunner, I've never competed in organized trap, or skeet, or any of the traditional shotgun games.

I don't know. The only time I've had a problem is when I wore a seersucker type shirt that was a bit too rough a texture. By the end of the day, my shoulder was raw. Otherwise, I don't have any problems even after 100+ shots fired.

Then again, at 33, I'm still pretty young and invincible. I may change my mind a few years from now.

A guy who was in my skeet party yesterday had a polo shirt with that kind of padding on it.

I don't know that a T shirt with it would be that interesting- problem is, most T shirts are not the most long-lived of apparel. A similar polo or button-down shirt (short sleeved) would be a little more interesting to me.

Correia - Do I get three guesses as to what you use for the *ahem* quilt padding? :)

I've got a couple friends who live in warmer climates who've taken to using these, and they swear by them. IIRC, they had theirs made "on the spot" at some large trap and/or sporting clay shoots.

Put me down for two XXL, one dark and one not. Any chance of getting BA/UU/R on them?...

I shoot in a T shirt in the warm months. A little more padding might help since Arthur came to stay with me.

Trapper - thats spooky ! I had the same thought for a quick cheap disposable method ! :what:

if there's some padding on the left shoulder, put me down for at least one...

+1 on the BA/UU/R logo...

I will take one in large. Shooting The Original Super Goose 10 gauge I need all the help I can get.
