I bought my first AR last summer. Now I have three. 7.62X39, .300 BLK and the 5.56. With the loading supplies hard to find now, I think I found the one powder that will work with all three. Accurate 1680. Anyway I found load data for all three using this powder. I bought a lb. of lil gun from cabelas for the .300 BLK and was looking for H335 for the 7.62X39 and 5.56X45 when I found the data for Accurate 1680. Am I right about the 1680?

I use AA1680 in 300 BLK and 221 Remington Fireball.

But, for 125 grain and lighter bullets in the 300 BLK, I have had better performance with 2400 and W296/H110.

Since 7.62x39 is similar to 300 BLK, it would probably do well there.

If there is data for AA1680 in 223 Remington, go for it, but other powders are probably better. I use AA2230 in my 55 grain, 223 Remington loads and Varget in my 69 grain loads.

There are other powders that work well in the 223 Remington.

But, in these days of shortages, you do what you have to do as long as it is safe.

I just converted one of my ARs to .300 Blackout. Just ordered two 8# kegs of 1680 for the sole use of reloading .300 Blackout. I'm going to stick with 844 for .223s. There are some .300 Blackout recipes for AA2200. I have 8# of 2200 and might do a little chrony work with supersonic 147gr. next week.
