I know the store I worked at stocks 5-44 screws. Nickle finish, SS and black.

In fact the local Home depot sends customers there A LOT for stuff (like specialty screws and
fasteners) that they don't have.

If you find what you need at Numrich call during business hours you will get a recording with a coupon code for $4.95 off there shipping so for small parts basically free shipping if you order the parts online. The code changes daily and only given out during regular business hours.

Revolver screws are not "common old screws" as many might think. They are model and brand specific. A S&W side plate screw will not fit a Colt. For the model 15 you will have to either call S&W direct or get in touch with Jack First obsolete gun parts (605) 343-9544. You will definitely have to call Jack First on the Colt screws. Tell them the specific model and screw you are looking for and they will let you know the price/availability.

Unless the store you work at is in the firearm parts business it won't have the right head on it. Nothing like a vintage revolver with an Allen head fastener that is not only the wrong diameter but also sticks out above the side plate.

Post 31 is right on the money, screw diam., thread pitch is only part of the equation, there are probably more head configurations than anything.

I probably could find them at the ACE in my town, but they do some ocassional gun work; I'd go to the gun counter, not the hadware section, though.

I did buy a couple screws for an AK build out of the bins once there though; for the trigger guard unit.
