Affordable 22LR (Lowest shipped pricing)

Here is a working link for the Aguila, which is still in stock as of the time I'm posting this. Use code sms20 for additional savings.
Anyone shot this stuff yet? Opinions?
I have plenty.

During the 10,000+ round comparison testing, Aguila 40 gr LRN consistently produced smallest groups of 3/4" at 50 yards (Right behind CCI SV 40 gr LRN of 1/2"-3/4") followed by Aguila 40 gr CPRN that produced 3/4"-1" groups out of accurized 10/22 and T/CR22. Here's current 22LR comparison testing that now includes 47 brands/weights/lots - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...nition-comparison.908102/page-2#post-12731537

Here's sample Aguila 40 gr LRN 50 yard group target (Bottom row) compared to Aguila 40 gr CPRN (Top row) used to zero scope (10/22 factory barrel at 6250 round count) - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...cheap-bulk-22lr-ammunition-comparison.908102/

Family in from out of town and an early snowfall has frustrated my plans to go shoot. I may take a long lunch later this week and go to the range. But I also need to check the zero on my rifle, so I might not get to the Aguila.

Local Cabelas had Aguila 38 grain HP for $2.99/50 or $29.90/500, for about 3 days. They are gone now. I didn't get any because I've never used them before, but I will if I see them again. Pre-pandemic pricing locally was $2.49/50.

With judge Benitez striking down CA ammunition ban with appeal made to the 9th Circuit (Request for stay was denied), millions of CA gun owners buying ammunition is crashing vendor websites - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...a-ammunition-restriction.907903/post-12821967

Increasing number of online vendors are lifting FFL requirement for CA customers. Anticipate dynamic shifting of inventory and pricing during this time and use ammoseek to sort for best prices - https://ammoseek.com/ammo/22lr?ekw=bolt action&sh=lowest

Update: Price listing to below $30/500 and include lowest price CCI SV, CCI MiniMag

+ free shipping on $300+ orders
If anyone orders from them, be warned shipping is outrageous if under the $300 order amount. I put 20 boxes of the Aguila LRN in my cart, which was about $50; the shipping was $40! I appreciate the links and I'm not trying to rag on you but I just thought others might appreciate knowing.

I think followers of this thread are likely well aware of the shipping cost and would likely order the minimum for free shipping.

Besides, the reason why I posted the Aguila 40 gr LRN and CPRN price drop updates is because they are "boxed" and not "loose bulk" packaging (Boxed ammunition tend to produce more consistent groups than loose bulk) and these two "boxed" Aguilas have consistently produced smallest 50/100 yard groups with factory stock 10/22 barrel (3/4"-1") during now going on 11,000+ round testing.

And 10/22 with KSA bull barrel is now producing 1/2"-3/4" groups with occasional sub 1/2" groups with Aguila "boxed" 40 gr CPRN at 50 yards (I am resuming 47 brands/weights/lots testing between winter rains).

So I would not hesitate to add more boxes to get free shipping.

True enough. I'm not in a terrible need for that much ammo right now, just wanted to add a little to the stash as it were.

That Aguila is good shooting ammo. My grandad's New Haven 251 really seems to like it and so does the Winchester 77. I found some of the 38gr HP on Midsouth for cheap:

Shipping to me was 12.99 and taxes were about that, so $125 for 2000 rounds shipped to me. Not what we were paying but still not horrible for the times. They have the LRN and CPRN for the same price ($99/2000) as well.

@LiveLife

I have been checking in on this thread every few weeks for several months now and it’s finally gotten to the point I’m starting to restock. I just wanted to say Thank You for this, if the prices hold, or perhaps even go down more, I’ll continue to stock up until I am very well supplied.

I suspect we are near the bottom, if not already at it, time to buy.

Anyway, I just wanted to say Thank You and I appreciate what you’re doing.
