23 been in the hunting and shooting sports for as long as I can remember, I have more guns than I have room for but less guns than I would like to have.maybe time for an extra room to be built

Turning 30 in January, and grew up a generation too late. Most of my guns and automobiles are older than I am (by choice).

W.E.G.-I'll see your 8-track, and raise you an AM tube radio! ('51 Dodge)

As we oldtimers have known for decades, tubes > transistors...

Maybe for your stereo but how would you like to have a football field or 3 or 1000 or... of vacuum tubes for your PC?

Edit; I'm a 58 year old retired EE.

I should have been more specific. Tubes are the best for sound reproduction. According to us geezers, anyway. ;)

I fit into the largest group here. 28 for a while. I was surprised by the results. If I had to guess, I would have said that the grouping would be more densely populated in the 30 to 50 range. It would be interesting to do the same poll but with a different grouping, say 1-15, 16-25, 26-35 etcetera.

CFletch, I came home from two years in Vietnam and still was not old enough to buy a drink. I was six months from turning twenty-one...............I'm 65 and have a few.

24 here, got a few, want a lot more, so far its a 12 ga. nova, tikka t3 in 06, and a 10/22. It seems I have the basics covered in long guns, now I'm looking to add a 1911 and an AR in the next few months...dad's got more, and since i do more of the shooting (and all of the cleaning) that makes them mine, right?
I was surprised to see how many guys (and dolls) are in my age bracket, and younger, too.

I guess 17 makes me the youth of the group! "Own" and shoot the only gun in the house, my grandfathers 1957 Remington 740ADL in non-other than .30-06. Looking to get a Savage 10FP (maybe the FCP) or a Remington 700 (PSS or SPS Tactical) in .308.

21, with 2 .22's, 1 RPK-47 (stamped, Romanian), 1 1/2 Bulgarian AK-74's (building 1) and a bodyguard 380 that I love.

I'm suprised to see that the 20-30 was the largest section. Where are they getting the money from? Guns are an expensive hobby. What's an eight-track? Does this mean I can stop using my reel to reels?

Awe... chum o' yoo itty bitty babies iz cho cute... coochie coochie coo!! :D

BANG..... BANG...!!

OUCH!!! Stop biting you little bas... kids!!!

You have to remember that this poll is not representative of the country. There is a definite bias. Those who frequent internet message forums are the respondents. Younger individuals are more likely to be online.

I am 20. 2 guns and working on a third (see my post about R&M Precision) and wish i could afford more. Maybe after college and with a few degrees I can get all the guns I want. Currently own a Savage 111 stainless with a Leupold scope and a CZ Redhead over-under deluxe. Waiting on my first AR-15 to get delivered.
