Airsoft for training?

So. My local club is going to run an indoor airsoft pistol run n gun league. They provide all the equipment.

I'm primarily interested in this as an opportunity to keep skills up, have some fun, indoors during the winter. I've done two gun run n gun outdoors through the winter for 4 of the last 5 winters, and I'm pretty much over standing around at 0˚-10˚F for an hour to shoot for about 1-2 minutes.

Anyway. Question 1: Is this going to actually have any meaningful value in terms of pistol shooting? I expect it will be useful in terms of competition-planning a stage, moving through a course, target transitions, etc. But I don't expect much in the way of marksmanship skills from an airsoft gun.

Question 2: Should I buy my own gun? I run a Beretta 92 in two gun. The "loaner" airsoft guns the club bought are all Glocks. Seems to me I should buy an airsoft Beretta 92 for consistent training, although, I highly doubt the trigger will be anywhere near the same, and I can already tell from yt videos, the recoil won't be either. An airsoft Beretta is about $150. Is that money better spent on a 22LR conversion kit?

Tried it, it's fun, but sometimes the replacement o-rings/parts needed can be a PITA to source when they wear.
