Has anyone here used brownell's aluma-hyde II on a revolver? I have one that I might refinish and this seems easy to apply, but I've only heard of it used on rifle stocks.

I've done a couple of AR receivers, two pistols, and some plastic stocks, but no revolvers. All turned out fine and are durable. The key is to thoroughly clean then degrease with alcohol, set the can of AG II in a pan of warm water so it sprays easier, use multiple *THIN* coats a few minutes apart, then set aside for at least a week at room temp to cure. Two weeks is better. Works for me.
FWIW
YMMV

Never done a pistol...one rifle and one muzzleloader. Very tough stuff but it might be too thick to make a pistol function properly...only one way to tell...post pics

Not a revolver, but I did the frame of this .22 with AlumaHyde II.

It may have been me, but I ended up with a pretty thick finish, that probably wouldn't work well on a revolver.
