Finally found a M700 in 300 Blackout to compliment my SBR AR.

I am feeding this one with 240 grain Sierra Match Kings. 1030fps with AA1680 which is very quiet suppressed.

L-R 240gr SMK, Loaded 300 BO and a 223 Rem for comparison

Have only shot it out slightly over 200 yards and found this thing has the trajectory of a brick with sub-sonic loads. Takes appx 16 moa from a 100 zero to there. It's very fun to shoot suppressed, it's report is like a pellet rifle. I have killed a few hogs out to 100 yards with it already and it's really cool hearing the heavy bullet hit it's mark. :what:

So far I a digging this thing.:D

That is awesome! I have a similar project in the works. Just waiting on stamp. Putting mine in xlr chassis.

Why'd you pick that scope? I can't decide what I'm goin to put on mine

Gordon......It's sitting in a AICS 2.0 which uses Accuracy International's standard magazine. For the 223 sized rounds they are made of a high impact plastic and hold 10 rounds. The magazine also allows the OAL to be greater than that of the standard AR mag thus allowing bullets to be seated further out.

It's cool and all... but the same can be accomplished with a .308 bolt gun loaded with trail boss... and you wouldn't be limited on range when you switched to Full power ammo.

I appreciate the ammo commonality though... Just not a fan of 300.

Awesome

I don't see the need or use of a folding stock on a bolt/hunting rifle.

BUT that is a sweet thang and I would love owning one myself,I did not see what make it was ?

I am shooting suppressed 200+ grain subsonic loads exclusively though this one and the AR. The 1:7 twist will easily accomplish this.

Having four 308's with standard twists of 1:10 through 1:12 I have used Trailboss with lighter weight pills. At reduced velocities those slower twist rates don't do well with the 220's and above. The last thing you want is a unstable bullet going through a suppressor wrecking it.

Hoofan_1, you are correct. Using 11.5 grs of IMR-4198 I am actually slightly compressing the powder. Also using a medium Lee factory crimp trying to obtain consistent velocity. Figuring I will get a better burn with the powder being in the same position with each shot.
