Are you guys kneejerking this poll or really thinking about the issue?
Lots of drinking and immaturity on campuses. Granted you have to be 21, but that's still pretty darn young to be carrying a firearm among thousands of other students just recently away from their parents for the first time.
I'm not sure either way.
Given that only the responsible ones tend to go for a CCW in the first place
Back up your position, with some firm negative stats.
Ready,set,go......
Wow, don't tolerate an alternate opinion I see.
Can you tell me in what way a 21 year old who has a CCW and doesn't go to college is any different than a 21 year old who has a CCW and does go to college
Yes.
My friend has a 20 year old sophomore in college. Lots of partying, especially at the sorority house she's at. Lack of sleep added to the mix. She's a good kid, but LOTS of influences and close quarters with not-so-good types.
And then there's the MANY times I've been muzzle swept at the range by...you guessed it...younger guys, some with CC permits.
But you know what? I'm comfortable with my position, no real need to keep justifying my thoughts on the issue.
I'm open minded though, what are the stats with colleges that do allow carry?
