You guys holding out on me with these snack stix lol. My local butcher was making a bunch for $5.50 a pound, not worth me even trying to make my own. Now with meat priesthood there $12 but I haven't been there in months.

I still owe loonwulf a nice snack care package some day

I see SPS has some 150 270cal nosler accubonds for $28 something for 50 that would be nice out of the wby. They have some 140 7mm partitions for the same price i My have to grab some.

my buddy picked up a ruger 458 wm ts m77 last week, he fliped and made twice what he payed. But he got a big coffee can full of 458wm brass, think it was new but don't remember. I'll ask and see if he still has it, maybe I can get cheap

    that's a good looking optic!
The eye relief is a little short for the .458 tho I think. My GPO had a 3.5-3.75 eye relief and it would touch me almost every shot when used on my .375

Im still trying to get a bolt action .350 legend, and that 1-6 or the 1-8s would be a pretty slick addition to that sort of rifle....be interesting to see if they release a sfp of their 4-14s too.

I'll get you some cash in the mail shortly, still saving me like 40 bucks on what Shaw would have charged to have it UPS'd to me.

No wonder the two barrels were 9lbs lol. The 458 actually for its size isn't to heavy, I think that will be like a magnet at the range.

Maybe set up a stock just for the 458 maybe we can find something cheap,

I was thinking a boyds platinum with a straight barrel channel.....it will have a huge gap on the other barrels but would work fine.

Tho i think the case im gonna use is large enough for 3 stocks

Same as the longs, the factory stocks were a heavier blend, but otherwise the same.

that will be perfect, what roadie you snatch it from lol.

I think for the 458 I would get the minimum removed from the forend then full length bed the barrel expect the barrel shank since there all probably different sizes.

My buddy Ed lol, it was behind his couch....
It needs new latches, and I need to put in new foam as well as remove some rust from the metal fittings, but other wise its not bad.

its pretty huge is the only real draw back. Ive stuck 5 rifles in that case for a range trip

Don't know if you can get foam local, maybe 1/2 top and bottom maybe use them foam floor tiles there cheap and some standard Polyurethane ( same stuff pool noodles are) in the middle. They used to have bunk bed mattress, they are foam and are normally 4" thick

There are some fabric stores that sell foam for making futons, cushions and stuff like that. Ill go check them out, but push comes to shove, ill just order some. I'd like to do internal locks also, which will take some research

That could be made to work pretty easy I think.

The conversation about Building custom cases got going again over in accessories, and that's given me some ideas as well.

Something else I thought about after looking at that big ol 458 barrel....I might be able to use an lpa shotgun banded front sight and a peep on the pic rail.....id have to have it remove able tho as I doubt I'd get it under the scopes.
