More fuel for the fire. I just paid $30 to ship a set of old Honda carburetors to Wisconsin. That's one state away, non-expedited, and I packed it myself. I felt ripped off but it wasn't a firearm four times as large requiring special care either.
I purchased an IPod cable from China for $0.29 and free shipping. Guess who raised their prices after that.Actually, I was charged $32 for shipping for a rifle I recently won on GB and when it arrived, I noticed the shipping label said it was over $36. Add in the cost of a box and packing materials, and I think I owe the seller a few more bucks!
Then you pay $35 for shipping
and pay your FFL his $20.
My state charges $25 for the Brady background check (several states are free and some don't charge if you have a CCW, but more than half the states charge a full fee).
That's more than 23% upcharge for absolutely nothing constructive.
fellers, I have been kicked around on this one pretty well by yourselves and folks on other boards.
