There is a M1917 (.30-06) in a local gun shop, for 575 +/-.
From the serial number I believe the receiver was made in 1917 / November from the internet (11,1?? Serial number range / Remington).
However it has a 11-18 dated barrel. I saw 2 sets of inspectors stamps on the stock, but did not note the initials.
Is this a "Mix Master"?
if yes, by who US govt.?
Would they have done this after WW1 or was this done later ww2?
Rifle appears to be in good shape otherwise and is made by Remington.
